The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, houses one of the most distinguished collections of works by Frederic Remington (1861-1909) in the country. Clement Greenberg (1909-1994) is the most renowned American art critic of the twentieth century art collected eating gastronomical works and the first to treat New York modern artists as an independent school.
